Roger Federer Tennis Victory! Some say it is magic, others say it is luck, others yet do not know:
'All men can see these tactics whereby I conquer, but what none can see is the strategy out of which victory is evolved.'
Sun Tzu
This sequence is particularly long so be patient wait until it uploads.
This super slow motion will show you Roger hitting a variety of strokes in his characteristically easy way; I suggest you pay particular attention to the overhead smash back pedaling footwork.
1. Observe how he uses the cross-stich (carioca) footwork instead of the side step, because it is the only way he will be able to gain enough distance to reach the ball.
2.- Notice that to reach up to the ball he uses the classical sizors jump ending with the right leg up in the air. This kind of jump allows the player (if he has strong abdominals and powerful legs) to have more air time and almost stop at the top of the jump to hit the ball in a final punishing way.
Roger Federer is a particularly sensitive individual and for him the sweet moment of VICTORY is very emotional.
Rogers excellent tennis video lessons are fantastic to learn about this great game of tennis.
