Tennis New Game - New Rules! This extraordinary game is for tennis teachers, coaches and players to try. As I wrote in a previous article, tennis needs a re-vamping but unfortunately it will take another 4 centuries for anything to happen at the official level, therefore the odd title 'Tennis of the 25th Century'. As I rant and rave, get up and go for hour long walks, frustrated at tennis matches that bore me to tears, with points being a carbon copy of each other - over and over again! My frustration leads me to new ideas and this scoring system is one of them. So instead of waiting 4 hundred years to come back in a future (doubtful re-incarnation) to see it happen, I went and tried this new scoring game with some of my pupils and believe me 'SURPRISE' it is a total success! The feedback is unanimously positive: - 'The game is more exciting!' - 'We have more FUN!' - 'The tactics are great! We can do a lot more!' - 'My return got better!' - 'My focus is better and I am more pro-active.' - 'The situations change so rapidly, that there is no time to be passive!' - 'I never thought I could serve and volley so well!' - 'This is the most exciting and radical game change I ever seen!' - 'My attacking skills have improved and my volleys are amazing now!" - 'Now I play a much sharper game!' - 'I never knew tennis could be so much FUN!" The inspirational positiveness of the results made me write this article and tell everyone to try it with their friends and give the scoring system to their coaches to try with their pupils, here it is: The Sergio Cruz
Tennis Game of the 25th Century: - The game is scored as usual 15-0, 30-0 until points are won at the
net.
- Every point won at the net with a volley or a overhead-smash is a 30 point. The skeptics will say, 'If I play this game will it affect
my normal game negatively?' No, on the contrary, it will make your game
richer and you a smarter player. Sergio Cruz P.S.- As a token favor Teachers and pupils
